It is important to emphasise that these
four tasks are nonlinear. It’s normal to
move backwards and forwards or get
stuck in a stage. The process is repetitive
and continuous. It won’t make climate
grief go away, but it will restore meaning
and allow us to 昀氀ourish.
If you have reached the end of this article, I invite you to close your eyes. Take a slow
deep breath and be still. You read this article, despite the pain and you did not look
away. You are someone who can feel the sorrow, grief, and anguish of the loss of the
more-than-human world. Notice in this moment how courageous you are. To open your
heart to all of this means you truly love the world and everything in it.
