Example of a
typical day
If you fancy an occasional dessert,
baking fruit like nectarines, peaches
or apricots with honey is delicious. Or
look for chocolate mousse recipes
that use low-fat yoghurt and dark
chocolate.
And for snacks, try choosing “real”
food rather than heavily processed
foods whenever you can. Nuts, fruit,
vegetables, cheese, boiled eggs and
yoghurt are all excellent choices.
It’s also worth paying attention to
which restaurants and cafes offer
choices that fit within a Mediterranean
eating pattern. Many brunch menus
have lots of options that are excellent.
To get great health benefits – physical
and mental – you don’t need to feel
deprived or go on a diet. Some simple
changes to what you choose to eat
can make you feel better immediately
and help ensure your wellbeing in the
future.
